NOTES FROM THE STUDIO

A few useful things to know.

Short practical guides about the workflow, its limits, and responsible use of source material.

A cartoon filter is not the same as animation

Frame-based stylization changes the appearance of each frame in an existing video. It can smooth colors and emphasize edges, but it does not invent a new character performance or guarantee the same drawn details from frame to frame.

Character animation requires additional work such as designing a character, creating or retargeting motion, maintaining identity across frames, and synchronizing expressions with dialogue. The current local renderer does not perform those steps.

For now, treat a filtered export as an experiment or visual treatment. Review the whole clip for flicker, edge artifacts, cropping, and audio quality before sharing it.

Before you add a comedy clip, check its rights

Keep a record of who created the source, who holds the relevant rights, and what permission or license allows you to use it. If permission is written, keep the permission record with your own project files outside this app.

Do not assume that a clip is free to reuse because it is online, short, or transformed with a visual effect. Avoid removing watermarks or other attribution. If the rights are unclear, do not process or publish the material until they are resolved.

Platform monetization rules are separate from copyright permission. A lawful source or transformation does not guarantee that a platform will recommend, monetize, or approve a video.
